About the event

National Cremation Placement Day is a day dedicated to remembrance, reflection, and helping families create a lasting place to honor those they love.

As more families choose cremation, cremated remains are often kept at home for months or even years. For some families, that is an intentional choice. For others, they may simply be unsure of what to do next or may not realize the variety of permanent memorialization options available.

Join Spring Lake Cemetery on Saturday, October 17 for a special community event beginning with a brief memorial service honoring those who have passed. Families are invited to gather together for a shared moment of remembrance before we proceed with the placement of cremated remains for families who have made arrangements in advance to participate in National Cremation Placement Day.
